JH Batten actually engaged the services of SS&S before the architect was chosen. SS&S provided valuable design assistance to our staff as a 38,000 + square foot Phase 1 plan was developed.
The primary AVL work on the project took place in the multipurpose/worship center, where a complete audio/video/lighting system was installed. Secondary systems included a distributed audio system to all hallways and classrooms; distributed video system to key locations; infrastructure and planning for future A/V connections to overflow rooms; and consultation on future expansions. Complete system specifications can be obtained from SS&S - that's another document entirely!
Let me sum up my recommendation of SS&S this way: I've been involved in the AVL aspect of church ministries since high school. My first full time ministry position was as Media Minster of the largest Baptist church in Kentucky. I've been a part of countless tech teams, productions, and events.
